Kids and Youth BJJ
The Kids Class is 60 minutes long and will teach your child the basics of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a fast-paced, challenging, and fun environment. In addition to BJJ techniques, the class also focuses on "Bully Proof" drills that will not only teach your child self-defense, but will increase their confidence as well. For the little guys we try and keep the class fun while introducing them to the fundamentals of this great sport. The drills and exercises chosen for this group are a mixture of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and basic gymnastics.
Though Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is complex, our Fundamental program is designed to break down the essential concepts of the martial-art, making it much easier for our students to learn. Each lesson will focus on one position (side control, full mount, half guard, etc.) that we will cover in detail.
The class begins with warm up that gets our students in shape with fun and challenging bodyweight exercises and BJJ drills. After the warm up, students will learn a technique. The class ends with a live "positional training" sparring, which helps students reinforce the lesson of the day and strengthen their overall skills in BJJ.
Our beginners BJJ program is designed to take our students from white to blue belt (the second rank in BJJ). The learning experience is different for every student, but this process typically takes one to two years.
All Level BJJ
The All-Levels class is an extension of the basic building blocks learned in Beginners BJJ classes. Students will further their knowledge in the intricacies of BJJ. The techniques taught during this class are often more advanced techniques. This class is open to students of all levels, although it is recommended beginner students make as many Beginners BJJ classes as possible. This class is a Gi class. Students can work to earn stripes and belts as they progress.
